New Property Yard Done Right - Grading, Irrigation, and Sod Install

New construction yards are a blank slate - but that doesn't mean they're ready to go. What most people don't realize is that a rough-graded yard with poor drainage is basically a ticking clock. Water pools, soil erodes, and any grass you try to grow just struggles from day one.

This yard needed the full reset. We started with proper grading to make sure water would move away from the house and not sit in low spots. Getting the grade right before anything else is the foundation of a yard that actually holds up long-term. No shortcuts there.

Once the grade was dialed in, we ran irrigation through the whole space before a single piece of sod ever touched the ground. That's the right order of operations. Irrigation lines buried clean, heads positioned to get full coverage - so this homeowner isn't out there dragging a hose around every other day hoping things stay green.

Then came the sod. Laid tight, edge to edge, across the entire backyard. The difference between a bare dirt lot and a finished, usable yard is dramatic. And because the grading and irrigation were done correctly underneath it, this lawn has every reason to thrive - not just survive.
